Linna Chen, Ph.D. is a registered patent attorney with extensive experience in all aspects of IP and patent strategy, patent application preparation and prosecution, patent portfolio and infringement/validity analysis, and IP/technology licensing and negotiations. Representative technologies include medical device, mechanical device, computer hardware and software, chemical art, automotive technology, e-commerce, data storage and management, computer and network security, entertainment and education software, telecommunications, and wireless communications.
Prior to joining Van Pelt, Yi & James, Ms. Chen worked at Alleman Hall McCoy Russell & Tuttle in their Portland office and had substantial patent prosecution, patent strategy counseling and IP portfolio management, technology licensing and transactional, and trademark-related experience.
Ms. Chen graduated from Purdue University with a B.S. degree in Life Sciences and graduated from University of Minnesota with a Ph.D. degree in Pharmaceutics. She received a J.D. from Lewis & Clark Law School.
